It feels like Boxing Day

This was an awesome day. People came down to Christchurch from Wellington, Palmerston North and Auckland to attend. Lots of really good comments and people asking if it is going to be an annual event. Is it? The best part for us is that we got a strong feeling that this event made a huge step forward in raising awareness of the value of ‘usability’. Submitted by Alan Cox
My heartfelt thanks

Thank you and your wonderful team for a superbly organised and very professional World Usability Day. The amount of time, organisation, effort, and dedication that you all put into the day-long event was obvious to see, and I was very impressed. Everything ran smoothly, the presenters and the audience were well looked after, and the venue was great. You seemed to have thought of everything, and I loved the little details like the well designed ‘passes’ for the workshops. Really fantastic, Alan. You and your team did World Usability Day proud, and I, for one, am very thankful for your passionate and genuine advocacy of usability and its benefits. Submitted by Dawn Whitlock

Join us for a fully caffeinated day of talks, workshops, discussion and demonstrations at the home of New Zealands first fully commercial usability lab opened earlier this year.

The open day is structured with 3 ‘channels’ of events going on during the day. We will be hosting talks and workshops from both practitioners and industry representatives to provide you with an honest 360° view of what usability is about, why it’s important and what it can do for you.

We’ll have industry case studies showing how usability has improved business, discussion about how to implement usability within your organization and strategy, and hands on workshops to give you some tools to start using right away.

Also, throughout the day will be usability testing demonstrations at New Zealand’s first fully commercial usability lab.
